On March 27th Righteous Rides began receiving prayer requests from missionaries. Their requests tell stories of kids moving to online school, interns needing to travel home, a 1200 sq. ft. apartment housing a missionary family of five, missionary co-workers testing positive for Covid-19, the need to extend the use of Righteous Rides vans, new ministry roles, evac flights, baby deliveries, cancer treatments, and housing provision. Their requests also share the concerns of their hearts. One family asked for prayer for the 114 co-workers they leave behind on the mission field in total isolation or lock-down. Others ask for prayer for the 1.4 billion people in their country of service who are unable leave their homes for 21 days, for the needs of the 51 children plus staff in their Children’s Home ministry, for economic shutdowns which will affect the poor and the middle-class of their country, for a city of 20 million “atheistic” people who need the gospel, for a refugee kid’s school, for the advance in online pro-life ministry, and for more workers for the harvest. Nonetheless, assurance and praise abound in the words sprinkled throughout their requests. Words like peace, unity, joy, wisdom, creativity, growth, faith, and grace. And more: faithfulness, healing, protection, spiritual awakening, light, hope, and encouragement. Their messages include statements of prayer and praise, thanking God for time with family and protection and empowerment from the spirit.
Ephesians 3:20-21 | “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
Pray with us: Father, we pray that you alert many to their need for Jesus and make us faithful witnesses. We pray for protection, creativity, and empowerment from the Spirit for our missionary brothers and sisters. We thank you for this valuable time to spend with family. Father God continue to bless and protect, give strength, patience, health and safety, and be glorified as these missionaries continue to impact others through their work. Hold them in your hands.
