LAX Hub

Santa Ana, CA

Hub Coordinators: Nancy and Doug Sorensen

What is unique about your hub?

Well we are in California, that for a start makes us unique! All our vans in the LA fleet have personal names. You see, our vans become a part of your family while you are here in the States, so it is only right that they should have a name as well. When you pick up a van from us it might be Simon or the Old Testament great, Zerubbabel. One little girl from a family serving in Indonesia, threw her arms around the tail-light of one van and exclaimed, “I love you John-Mark!”
We also maintain an extensive CD lending library of Focus on the Family radio dramas, to help on the long road trips between supporting churches. Enjoy as a family the adventures of Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables or the challenges faced by Dietrich Bonhoeffer in WWII Germany.

How could a volunteer help at your hub?

All vans are meticulously detailed before they go out. If you have the spiritual gift of car washing, we could use you!
And like the other hubs, each van (yes, the van not us) gives the occupants a “Hi, I’m John-Mark and I am so thankful for you” goodie bag. If you love shopping the Dollar Store, we could sure use your help!

What are your prayer requests?

Lately, acquiring the required insurance coverage by the missionaries in order to use one of our vans has become quite a challenge. Pray that the LORD of All Details will provide for this very practical need.
