Jesus himself frequently took time to be alone with the Father. Not only did He go to out of the way places to commune with God, He instructed his disciples to do the same. (Mark 6:31)
When we pursue time alone with God we not only conform to Christ’s example, we find He is already there and waiting for us to encounter Him.

“Leaving my refreshing time with my Aunt Becky for some alone time with God at a cottage on the beach.”
PRAYER: Father, you created us by “knitting” us in the womb, you know the number of hairs on our heads, and you say we are of more worth than many sparrows. Thank you for calling us to times of intimacy with you where we can come to know you better.
