Medical professionals are some of God’s good gifts to us, a means through which He can bring good health, healing, and recovery. Bible medical references appear in the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts and Colossians where Paul refers to Luke as “the beloved physician” (Col. 4:14). In the OT book of Jeremiah (8:22) we read about the “balm in Gilead.” Even though we thank God for medical professionals and medicine, our ultimate faith and trust is in God.

“We’ve had a series of standard doctors and dentist appointments recently.”
PRAYER: Thank you, Father, for the education and knowledge of medical professionals as they treat our missionary families during their time in the States. Thank you for granting them wisdom to make good, sound decisions. Thank you for helping them use their experience and training to bring about the best possible outcomes so missionary families will be in the best health possible when they return to their places of service. In Jesus name, Amen.
